Job summary

Chlorum is seeking a Chemical Plant Operator to support safe, reliable operation of the Eddyville Chlor Alkali facility. You will run process equipment, monitor conditions, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot basic issues following procedures.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to meet production goals, maintain product quality, maximize throughput, and uphold safety and environmental standards in a chemical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to learn and safely operate chemical processing equipment.
• Follow written operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment and process issues and communicate findings.
• Accurately record production, process, inventory, and operational data.
• Work independently within procedures while collaborating with team.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical process equipment and monitor production conditions.
• Follow procedures to meet production goals and specifications.
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and assist with more complex repairs.
• Record production, inventory, and process data in systems.
• Support material handling and equipment startups/shutdowns.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations.
