Sanborn Head & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our Bedford, NH team. You will work with engineers on gaseous energy projects, delivering design documentation, process simulations, and safety analyses.

The role emphasizes hands-on project involvement, client interaction, and opportunities for professional growth, with on-site work in Bedford and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Energy Focus) required.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
• Experience with natural gas systems and process instrumentation & controls.

Responsibilities

• Support process design and documentation for gaseous energy projects (natural gas, LNG, RNG, CNG, propane-air, hydrogen).
• Develop PFDs, HMBs, P&IDs and perform process simulation modeling.
• Lead or support HAZID, PHA, and HAZOP studies as part of design.
• Size equipment and write specifications for equipment and materials.
• Develop PCNs, C&E matrices, and technical reports.
• Prepare operating & maintenance procedures and risk management plans.
• Conduct site reviews and provide on-site support when required.
• Mentor junior staff and foster engineering service practices.
