Qualifications

• Strong process fundamentals including heat and material balances.
• Create and review PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience sizing compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, and vessels.
• Background in industrial gas processing and related gas-treatment applications.
• Familiarity with process instrumentation and automation such as control valves, PLCs, VFDs, SCADA.
• Field-based experience supporting construction, commissioning, startup, and optimization.
• Ability to interpret drawings and combine data to solve plant problems.

• Own process design deliverables for gas-handling facilities including balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Size and specify compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, piping and valves.
• Apply gas-processing knowledge across compression, dehydration, and separation.
• Identify process limitations from operating data and field observations to optimize performance.
• Coordinate with instrumentation and automation systems including SCADA and PLCs.
• Serve as a hands-on engineering resource during construction, startup, and performance activities.
• Review drawings and field conditions to resolve technical issues and support decisions.
• Provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary projects.

Our client is seeking a seasoned process engineering professional to play a key role in the design, startup, and continued improvement of industrial gas-processing facilities. This is an opportunity to take engineering concepts beyond the drawing board, helping shape new projects while solving real-world challenges within operating plants. The successful candidate will combine strong process design fundamentals with practical field experience, working across engineering, construction, controls, and operations to improve facility reliability, performance, and long-term effectiveness.

Focus:

• Own process design deliverables for gas‑handling facilities, including heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs, and supporting calculations.

• Apply gas‑processing knowledge across compression, dehydration, separation, contaminant removal, and related process systems.
• Use operating data and field observations to identify process limitations, troubleshoot performance issues, and develop practical optimization solutions.
• Coordinate process requirements with instrumentation and automation systems, including control valves, PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, and associated control strategies.
• Serve as a hands‑on engineering resource during construction, equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and plant performance activities.
• Review drawings, equipment information, process models, and field conditions to resolve technical issues and support sound engineering decisions.
• Provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary projects while sharing process knowledge with developing engineers.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with approximately 8 to 15 years of relevant industrial experience preferred.
• Demonstrated command of process fundamentals, including heat and material balances and the creation and review of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Experience sizing or specifying compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, valves, and related process equipment.
• Background in industrial gas processing, with exposure to compression, dehydration, separation, or comparable gas‑treatment applications.
• Working familiarity with process instrumentation and automation technologies such as automated valves, PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, and control loops.
• Field‑based experience supporting construction, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization within operating process facilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and combine calculations, process data, modeling tools, and field observations to solve plant problems.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, construction, vendors, and field personnel.
