Job summary

McCormick & Company, Inc. seeks a full-time Process Engineer for the Zatarain's Gretna Facility in Gretna, LA.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining documentation that captures best operating practices to reduce variation and improve reliability across processing, packaging, maintenance and engineering. You will lead technician teams to standardize procedures, support new plant startups, coach staff, and ensure the formal change process is followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or Food Science.
• At least one year of relevant production/engineering experience.
• Knowledge of plant operations, packaging and processing equipment.
• Experience developing and writing procedures with cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of MPWS systems and packaging/process engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop Department Operating Procedures and training manuals.
• Create Standard Operating Procedures and Control Procedures.
• Produce run documents, changeover and startup procedures.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering to set documentation standards.
• Coach Technicians to improve skills and ensure uniformity.
