Job summary

McCormick & Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time Process Engineer in the Flavor Solutions group, based at the Flavor Manufacturing Center in Hunt Valley, MD.

The Process Engineer will drive process reliability improvements and waste reduction, and lead teams to standardize operating procedures across processing, packaging, and maintenance. Reporting to the Flavors Department Manager, you will develop and maintain documentation, coach technicians, and support capital projects with rigorous change

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial).
• At least one year of relevant production/engineering experience.
• Strong statistical analysis skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide process and project engineering guidance to filling, processing, and support departments.
• Lead Technicians to create and maintain standard documentation.
• Develop SOPs, work instructions, changeover and startup procedures.
• Drive cost reduction, process improvements, and capital-automation initiatives.
• Support start-up activities for capital projects and off-shift coverage.
