Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a Processing Engineer to support all manufacturing processes in the Wichita plant and for customers. The role emphasizes resolving process issues, mentoring operators, and driving continuous improvement to enhance quality and reduce costs.

The engineer will serve as a process expert for internal and external customers, work with production managers, line operators, and technicians, and ensure timely project completion by applying sound problem-solving

Qualifications

• Proficiency with problem solving tools: 5 Whys, Is / Is Not, Pareto Diagrams, Design of Experiments, FMEA.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, prints and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and resolves process issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Drives and implements continuous improvement to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing consistency.
• Mentors and develops operators, technicians, and engineers to ensure on-time task completion.
• Provides process expertise to customers and internal stakeholders to utilize and expand IP.
• Coordinates production feasibility and validates processes to meet project timelines.
