Job summary

Tower Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to drive optimization, stability, and continuous improvement of diffusion and epitaxy operations. You will be the primary technical owner for process health, yield optimization, and equipment performance in wafer fabrication.

The role requires hands-on execution and analytical problem-solving, collaborating across engineering and production to troubleshoot complex issues, run DOE studies, and implement advanced control strategies to meet quality

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or Physics.
  • 3+ years in semiconductor wafer fabrication, diffusion or epitaxy.
  • Strong SPC, FMEA knowledge and monitoring tools.
  • Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and present findings for technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with MS Office for reporting and visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned processes and establish direction for improvements, sustaining, and operation.
  • Collaborate with process and integration engineers to improve metrics, yield, and technology transfers.
  • Selection and qualification of semiconductor processing tools.
  • Monitor fab metrics with SPC and perform root cause investigations of discrepant material.
  • Develop DOE and new semiconductor manufacturing processes; implement yield/defect improvements.
