Job summary

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. in Texas is seeking a process-focused engineer to support wafer fabrication operations, monitor process equipment, and execute sustaining activities in the DIFF/EPI areas. You will work with process engineering, equipment, and production to improve yield and reliability.

The role involves experiments, data analysis, calibration, and documentation to support continuous improvements and technology transfer.

Qualifications

Requires an AA/AS degree or equivalent experience.
Two or more years of technical experiment in the semiconductor industry.
Some knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing.
Some knowledge of SPC, failure analysis, and various software monitoring tools.
Experience with MS tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and monitor wafer fabrication operations to maintain the process and process equipment.
Investigate tool related process and yield problems.
Assist senior engineering in the evaluation and implementation of complex process and equipment changes.
Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, where judgement is required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
Undertake area projects, becoming an expert in applicable process disciplines.
Support technology transfers and process development as needed.
This position is primarily responsible for executing daily sustaining of DIFF/EPI areas and following up with procedures and schedules defined by the process engineering department.
