Job summary

Hyde Engineering + Consulting is seeking a Process Engineer to support our North Carolina project. You will participate in CIP shakedown, cycle development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, coordinating with technical staff and clients as needed.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, reviewing specs, and developing cleaning cycles for various equipment, along with PLC/SCADA support during commissioning. This role requires strong communication and engineering management skills.

Qualifications

• BS in chemical engineering or related field plus 5 years pharma GMP experience.
• Experience with CIP cycle development, cleaning validation, protocol development, execution and summaries.
• Familiarity with CIP shakedowns, parameter changes and cycle runs.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA/DeltaV systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct other employees in executing projects.
• Review engineering specifications for compliance.
• Consult with clients/vendors as department representative.
• Prepare periodic reports and records.
• Advise on technical questions.
• Create cleaning cycle development strategies for equipment (vessels, chromatography skid, UF/DF skid, centrifuge, washers, portable equipment).
• Perform batch record review and verify calibration data.
• Perform piping design and flow calculations for CIP systems.
• Consult with clients/vendors on major problems or developments.
• Perform commissioning and provide automation support for CIP systems (PLC and DeltaV).

Job description

As a Process Engineer supporting our project in North Carolina, you performing CIP shakedown, CIP troubleshooting, CIP cycleparameters development,cycle runs, and process performance. Duties may involve functional supervision; the coordinationof subordinate technical staff and program or project activities with other divisions of a department and/or clients. Assignments are broad in scope with the opportunity to use independent judgment.

SHIFT WORK REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to key engineering projects to startup and cycle development projects.
• Directs other employees in the execution of a variety of projects.
• Reviews engineering specifications for compliance with ordinances and engineering requirements.
• Consult with clients/vendors as a department representative regarding major problems or developments.
• Prepares periodic reports and records.
• Advises and answers a variety of technical questions.
• Create cleaning cycle development strategies for a variety of equipment including process vessels and lines, chromatography skid/column, UF/DF skid, centrifuge, glass/parts washers, and portable processing equipment.
• Perform batch record review, including verifying calibration and in-process data.
• Perform piping design and flow calculations for CIP systems.
• Consult with clients/vendors as a department representative regarding major problems or development.
• Perform commissioning and provide automation support for CIP systems, including PLC and SCADA/Delta V systems.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience or in a GMP Environment and BS in chemical engineering or related field.
• Experience with: CIP cycle development, cleaning validation, protocol development, execution, troubleshooting, and summary reports.
• Experience with CIP shakedowns and troubleshooting
• Experience with CIP change parameters and parameter adjustment
• Experience with CIP cycle runs
• Familiarity with plant control software, including PLC and SCADA/Delta V systems.
• Familiarity with engineering project management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer knowledge including Microsoft Office products.
