Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a segment of Element Solutions Inc., seeks a Process Engineer to optimize operations using SPC and continuous improvement practices.

Under the Engineering Manager, you’ll boost first-pass yields, streamline processes, and drive cost improvements through data-driven root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

You'll collaborate across manufacturing, QA, and maintenance to sustain safe, efficient production and create measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university.
• 3+ years related experience in a process engineering role.
• Effective level of exposure and training in Continuous Improvement Methodology, similar to the Green Belt as provided in Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of production for quality, cycle time, EHS compliance, and consistency with documented work practices.
• Monitor processes closely and oversee SPC related activities for critical processes.
• Determine root causes for out-of-control products and follow through with corrective actions.
• Prepare periodic statistical reports to customers and ensure the timely submission of such reports.
• Manage Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR) as assigned and ensure timely closeout of reports and drive root cause, corrective action resolution and minimize repeat common occurrence.
• Support QA on customer complaints related to batch manufacturing processes including work on Corrective Action Request (CAR).
• Write and modify Work Instructions for existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process equipment related problems.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Production and follow proper Management of Change protocol on equipment repairs and process changes to ensure maximum process safety
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Production and oversee execution of equipment and instrumentation calibration program
