Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Houston, TX, is seeking a Process Engineer to contribute under supervision. A BS in Chemical Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience are required.

You will perform process simulations with HYSYS, develop P&IDs, conduct hydraulic calculations and sizing, and support utility and offsite design while upholding HSSE, ethics, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required.
• 2+ years relevant experience.
• Solid knowledge of Chemical Engineering disciplines.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Process simulation using HYSYS and production of process datasheets and heat and material balances.
• Developing P&IDs including hydraulic calculations, relief valve sizing, vessel sizing, design condition development, etc.
• Utility and offsites design development such as utility balances associated with steam, cooling water, air, hot oil, fuel gas, nitrogen, etc.
• Reviewing relevant supplier information impacting process design.
