Job summary

GEA Group is seeking a Process Engineer to join our Janesville, WI facility. You will support customers by optimizing centrifugal equipment after delivery, back up sales development, drive R&D for new products, and more.

Responsibilities include startup and commissioning of centrifuge equipment, training customers, and collaborating on cost-effective solutions. Travel may be up to 80% in North America.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of industry experience (renewable or environmental preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Rockwell programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve processes for GEA markets, focusing on mechanical separation.
• Startup and commission GEA centrifuge equipment.
• Support sales initiatives with innovative customer solutions.
• Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining quality.
• Prepare and process samples for spin-down studies and DOE testing.
• Collect, record, and transcribe data in detailed reports.
• Maintain testing equipment as required.
• Develop and implement systems optimizing upstream and downstream production.
• Train customers on proper and safe use of GEA equipment.
• Train other GEA team members on equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering on cost-effective solutions.
• Work in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Read/interpret P&IDs, GA, electrical schematics, and other docs.
• Work in multiple markets; focus on Pharmaceutical and Chemical.
• Familiar with process controls, motor controls, instrumentation, automation, and networking.
• Learn Rockwell Programming to edit programs and support startups.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking and communication skills.
• Position reports to the Process Engineering Manager.
