Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Process Engineer to identify equipment, tooling, and processes for manufacturing specialty copper and fiber optic cables. You will plan process development, maintain specifications, and troubleshoot issues across shifts with corrective actions.

Requirements include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing/Process Engineering, preferably in wire and cable, with strong CAD and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Education required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of Experience in Manufacturing or Process Engineering, preferably in Wire and Cable.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Minitab.
• Strong communication skills; Portuguese language ability is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Identify equipment, tooling, and processes to manufacture copper and fiber optic cables.
• Plan and direct process development to meet specifications and standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues across shifts and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain technical manufacturing instructions and work procedures.
• Coordinate experimental production (XP’s) and capital projects.
• Provide timely corrective action responses and input on product costing.
• Liaise with vendors to stay current on materials and processes.
