Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support automation initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites in Fort Mill, SC. You will lead automation projects, design and optimize PLC/SCADA, robotics, and control systems to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's in engineering, 3+ years in manufacturing automation, hands-on PLC programming, and experience with Rockwell/Siemens. Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation or equivalent.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, automation, or process engineering.

We're seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a strong background in industrial automation, robotics, and manufacturing process optimization to support automation initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites.

Location:

Fort Mill, SC (Onsite)

Duration:

7-Month Contract

Pay Rate:

$52.88/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead automation and controls projects from concept through implementation.
• Design, integrate, and optimize PLC, SCADA, robotics, and industrial control systems.
• Drive process improvements focused on safety, quality, productivity, and automation.
• Partner with operations, engineering, IT, and quality teams to implement manufacturing solutions.
• Support capital projects, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, or process engineering.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and robotics.
• Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Python scripting, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and process optimization.
• Six Sigma Green Belt and project leadership experience are a plus.
