Job summary

Software Placement Group in Tecumseh, MI is seeking a Process Engineer to lead a new production group for cold plates used in advanced electronics and data center cooling. This hands-on role runs from prototype to repeatable low-volume production, reporting to the Plant Manager.

You will interface with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams, apply aluminum fabrication methods, and help grow the production line with an eye toward advancement to Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Process Engineering knowledge in aluminum fabrication (extrusion, welding, brazing, tube bending, CNC machining, pressing).
• Ability to interface effectively with customers, suppliers, and all manufacturing groups.
• Candidates with process engineering knowledge in the above areas outside of aluminum will also be considered.

Overview

A growing manufacturing organization is launching a new production group for cold plates used in advanced electronics and data center cooling. This newly created Process Engineer role will be the key engineering resource driving this product line from prototype through repeatable low-volume production, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

What you'll do

• Support the new manufacturing group responsible for cold plate production for advanced electronics and data center cooling applications
• Take products from prototype build through to repeatable low-volume production
• Interface directly with customers, suppliers, and all manufacturing groups
• Apply process engineering expertise to aluminum fabrication methods used in production

Required qualifications

• Process Engineering knowledge in some or all of the following: Aluminum fabrication including extrusion, welding, brazing, tube bending, CNC machining, and pressing

• Candidates with process engineering knowledge in the above areas outside of aluminum will also be considered
