Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Composites Canada Inc. in Reading, PA is seeking a Process Engineer to partner with production teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will lead capital equipment projects, develop SOPs, and collaborate with global R&D on new materials. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2–4 years in process/polymer processing, with Lean Six Sigma preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 2–4 years in process engineering or polymer processing.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) strongly preferred.
• Experience with Statistics, DOE, and process optimization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production teams to improve processes, methods, and operating conditions.
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
• Review production performance (safety, quality, scrap, rework) and implement corrective actions.
• Lead projects to design, justify, and implement new equipment and capital expenditures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, reduce cycle time, and optimize costs.
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Audit tooling processes, inventory, and quality; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Obtain quotes, write Capital Expense Requests (CERs), and oversee installation of equipment/tooling.
• Collaborate with global R&D teams on process improvements and product development efforts.
• Act as a leader on the production floor, modeling company culture and safety standards.
