Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCGC) is seeking a Process Engineer in Reading, PA to drive improvements across manufacturing operations, safety, quality, and efficiency. You will troubleshoot day-to-day issues, lead process improvement projects, and collaborate with global R&D teams to enhance methods, tooling, and material usage.

Responsibilities include supporting production teams, reviewing performance data, and developing SOPs while leading equipment/capital projects and cost optimization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Experience in process engineering or polymer processing beneficial.
• Proficiency in Excel and Office tools.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with production teams to improve processes, methods, and operating conditions.
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
• Review production performance (safety, quality, scrap, rework) and implement corrective actions.
• Lead projects to design, justify, and implement new equipment and capital expenditures.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase yield, reduce cycle time, and optimize costs.
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Audit tooling processes, inventory, and quality; ensure compliance with procedures.
• Obtain quotes, write CERs, and oversee installation of equipment/tooling.
• Collaborate with global R&D teams on process improvements and product development.
