Process Engineer
Location: Reading, PA
Are you ready to make a direct impact on production performance, safety, and innovation? We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our team and drive improvements across manufacturing operations. This role is a critical technical resource - supporting production teams in advancing safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while also contributing to profitability.
You’ll provide hands-on troubleshooting, lead process improvement projects, and collaborate with global R&D teams to enhance manufacturing methods, tooling, and raw material usage. If you’re motivated by solving problems, optimizing processes, and implementing new technologies, this role is for you.
- Partner with production teams to improve processes, methods, and operating conditions.
- Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
- Review production performance (safety, quality, scrap, rework) and implement corrective actions.
- Lead projects to design, justify, and implement new equipment and capital expenditures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, reduce cycle time, and optimize costs.
- Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Audit tooling processes, inventory, and quality; ensure compliance with procedures.
- Obtain quotes, write Capital Expense Requests (CERs), and oversee installation of equipment/tooling.
- Collaborate with global R&D teams on process improvements and product development efforts.
- Act as a leader on the production floor, modeling company culture and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience: Background in process engineering or polymer processing (stock shapes and advanced materials experience preferred).
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) strongly preferred.
- Experience with Statistics, DOE, and process optimization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and multitask.
- 2-4 years of industry experience in process engineering or polymer processing Preferred - preferably in stock shapes and advanced materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Ability to collaborate across functions (Safety, Maintenance, Quality, Production, Business).

Pay Transparency
- The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $94,500. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
