Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a Chemical Engineer to monitor process performance, identify yield and energy opportunities, and support projects for reliability improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without sponsorship.
• Must be a former Intern of Marathon Petroleum Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Monitors process performance and identifies opportunities for improving yield, energy efficiency, and reliability.
• Assists in plan test runs and develops projects to address opportunities.
• Supports collaboration with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges.
• Develops relationships with console and field operators.
• Participates in hazard evaluations, incident investigations, and management of change.
• Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
• Supports turnaround/outage execution.
• Maintains and updates process documentation.
• Troubleshoots and maintains unit mass balance within tolerance.
• Participates in technology advisory groups.
