Typical co‑op assignments involved validating production data, mass balancing, process modeling, and building graphical interfaces for refinery units.

Environmental Engineers – Apply engineering principles to environmental projects throughout the refinery, gaining exposure to environmental laws and compliance. Duties have included performing risk‑management calculations, surveying refinery process units, working on wastewater treatment projects, and participating in inspections by federal, state, or local officials.
