Join a team working at the forefront of semiconductor manufacturing, where process innovation, product quality, and collaboration support the development of advanced memory technology.
As a semiconductor process engineer specializing in thin-film deposition, you will create, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve product quality, increase yield, reduce cost, and strengthen productivity and risk management. You will help resolve manufacturing line challenges through disciplined problem-solving and data-driven analysis.
You will oversee the health of assigned processes and work across engineering, manufacturing, equipment, and material supplier teams. Your work will include evaluating process, equipment, and material changes; qualifying new process baselines; and supporting yield and cost improvement initiatives. You will also develop proactive plans to address process bottlenecks that could affect fab cycle time or production turns, helping maintain reliable, high-quality output.
Applicants must have a master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Successful candidates bring sound analytical judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and manufacturing teams. Clear communication and a methodical approach to process changes, qualification, and risk assessment are important in this role.
Develop, improve, and sustain assigned deposition processes to meet product quality, yield, productivity, cost, and risk objectives. Identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related issues using failure analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D problem-solving, and SPC/FDC methodologies.
Coordinate and conduct process, equipment, and material evaluations, then implement approved changes at the process step. Lead or participate in yield improvement and cost optimization activities, qualify new process baselines, and assess process performance through structured data analysis. Collaborate with material suppliers, audit supplier performance, and manage material-related improvements to support quality, cost, and risk mitigation goals.
Monitor process health and product output, communicate findings and risks, and establish proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could affect fab cycle time or production turns. Partner with relevant teams to ensure process changes are controlled, well documented, and aligned with manufacturing requirements.
