Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Senior CVD/PVD Process Engineer to start up, develop and optimize deposition processes, driving yield improvements and cost reductions in DRAM manufacturing. You will work with multi-functional teams to tackle production issues and implement efficient solutions.

The role requires hands-on engineering, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across equipment and integrations teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience working as Process Owner within PVD/CVD
• BS or Masters in Engineering, equivalent military experience or AAS with 5+yr industry experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing in a semiconductor fab
• Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a meticulous approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
• Experience and/or interst in adopting Agentic AI for work processes

Responsibilities

• Start up, develop, and optimize CVD/PVD processes to improve yield, quality, and cost
• Collaborate with equipment engineers and integrations engineers to resolve production issues
• Use project management to complete milestones that close yield, defectivity, production, and cost gaps
• Drive improvements across SPC charts owned by the role

As a Senior CVD/PVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition/ Physical Vapor Deposition) Process Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to improve product quality, driving process yield improvements, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. Your expertise will give to the production of high-quality semiconductor components that are pivotal to our customers' success. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to tackle process issues and implement solutions that improve efficiency and yield. Your passion for engineering and willingness to learn will help us overcome the challenges of this fast-paced industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, values collaboration, and is eager to dive deep into the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.
