Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

The main role of the Process Engineer is to verify quality, safety, and equipment uptime in their designated area. The Engineer provides engineering support to the assigned UAP and assists maintenance in troubleshooting and problem solving methodologies to eliminate downtime and reduce quality defects for the customer.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that series production meets customer requirements.
  • Support the continuous improvement process.
  • Ensure plant readiness to launch successful new programs.
  • Manage and report key ME indicators.
  • Assist with any additional tasks assigned by the company.
  • Comply with and reinforce applicable Codes of Ethics relating to confidentiality of Process Tech’s personal data and HR documents.
  • Comply with Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
  • Procure manufacturing equipment considering security, quality, and environmental protection.
  • Follow up equipment and tooling.
  • Support the engineering change management process.
  • Update manufacturing routines and work instructions.
  • Keep processes (machines, tools, procedures) at the best possible level in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD).
  • Build the engineering budget and plant CAPEX; ensure their application.
  • Monitor capacity utilization.
  • Plan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companies.
  • Create and introduce procedures for tasks within the field of responsibility.
  • Support problem‑solving initiatives.
  • Participate in the plant PDP Continuous Improvement process (Labor, Quality, Equipment and tooling, Space, Work conditions).
  • Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipment.
  • Define plant layout to support new product launches.
  • Lead the installation process of new machines and equipment.
  • Support production during the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run @ rate, work instructions).
  • Staff, train, coach, assess and develop the plant manufacturing engineering team (direct or dotted line).
  • Support and train other networks/functions.
  • Participate in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization).
  • Report ME key indicators (TRS: change over, cycle time, reliability).
  • Act with an entrepreneurial mindset, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Act in accordance with Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.
Qualifications
  • Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System.
  • Basic financial skills (costing, budget, investment).
  • Leadership skills and international mindset.
  • Ability to interface with other functions – networking capabilities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a production area, including one position in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum education level: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
