Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The main role of the Process Engineer is to verify quality, safety, and equipment uptime in their designated area. They provide engineering support to the assigned UAP and assist maintenance in supporting the plant through troubleshooting and problem solving methodologies to eliminate downtime and decrease quality defects to the customer.

  1. Ensure that series production meets customer requirements
  2. Support to the continuous improvement process
  3. Ensure the plant readiness to launch successful new programs
  4. Manage and report key ME indicators
  5. Assist with any additional task as assigned by company
  6. Comply with and reinforce the appropriate Code of Ethics as it applies to the confidentiality of Process Tech’s personal data and the protection of HR related documents
  7. Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management for series production
  8. Procurement of manufacturing equipment under consideration of demanded security, quality and environmental protection and their preservation
  9. Equipment and tooling follow-up
  10. Support the engineering change management process
  11. Update manufacturing routines and work instructions
  12. Keep processes (machines, tools, procedures) at best possible level in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and Quality, Cost & Delivery (QCD)
  13. Build the engineering budget and the plant CAPEX; and ensure their application
  14. Monitor capacity utilization
  15. Plan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companies
  16. Create and introduce procedures regarding the tasks of his field of responsibility
  17. Support problem solving initiatives
  18. Participate in the plant PDP continuous improvement process
  19. Support the continuous improvement process in following: Labor, Quality, Equipment and tooling, Space, Work conditions
  20. Plant readiness to launch new programs
  21. Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipment
  22. Define plant layout to support new products launches
  23. Lead the installation process of new machines and equipment
  24. Support production in the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run at rate, work instructions)
  25. People Management: Staff, train, coach, assess and develop the plant manufacturing engineering team (direct or dotted line)
  26. Support and train other networks/functions
  27. Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)
  28. Comply and reinforce the Code of Management and Code of Ethics as it applies within the perimeter of Human Resources Reporting
  29. Manage ME key indicators (TRS: change over, cycle time, reliability, etc.)
  30. Follow values established within Being Faurecia. Act with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as with autonomy and accountability
  31. Act in accordance with the behaviours as established in Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management

Education / Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in production area, including one position in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Experience
