Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a process engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on executing process designs within the consumer products industry, analyzing data, and applying theory to determine the feasibility of designs.

Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, hands-on experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and related drawings, and strong knowledge of pumps, heat exchangers, and valves. On-site startup experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading or executing process designs with engineering calculations documented on PFDs, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and lists.
• Fluency with chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, materials of construction interactions, and proper design considerations.
• Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in the consumer products industry preferred.
• Experience in leading or executing process designs in the form of engineering calculations documented on PFD’s, P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, specifications, design basis, and associated lists.
• Knowledge of typical chemicals and fluids used in consumer products applications, interactions with materials of construction, and proper design considerations.
• Fluency with AutoCAD and Fathom.
• Understanding of fluid control valves and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with specification and sizing of pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, and other process equipment.
• Great customer relationship skills/management experience.
• Preferably on-site, in plant, and startup experience.
