The Process Engineer in our Roofing Plant supports the Production, Quality and Continuous Improvement teams with refining and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, reliability, and product quality. This role will apply engineering principles, statistical process control (SPC), and Lean methodologies to reduce variation, improve yields, minimize waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the roofing manufacturing operation.
The position requires technical skills and knowledge of the process as well as strong capabilities in areas of planning, scheduling, organizing, follow up and cost control. This position reports to the Technical & Quality Manager.
Position will help bolster plant operations relative to engineering needs. Projects are typically significant assignments of broader programs involving existing products or processes. Projects may involve annual objectives and a team effort. May provide technical direction to non-exempt personnel or line supervisors and operators but does not have regular supervisory responsibility.
The incumbent will receive instructions on task specifications and design constraints, as well as technical direction during assignments. Will be responsible for planning the details, sequence, and priority of tasks to meet established time targets of which progress and results will be periodically reviewed. Long term, mid-term and daily planning are a key aspect of the position responsibilities.

Certain states require pay information to be included in job postings. The national base pay range for this position is $81,500 to $126,500 per year. The actual base salary offered will vary based on factors such as geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. The target bonus for this role is 10% of base salary, based on company and individual performance measures.
The total target cash compensation range (base salary plus annual bonus) for this position is $89,650 to $139,150 per year.
