Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in process control engineering.
  • Experience designing and implementing control systems for manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of PID and advanced control techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy advanced process control systems, selecting sensors and actuators and programming control algorithms.
  • Establish communication networks between equipment, control systems and operators.
  • Analyze processes to reduce waste, minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
  • Troubleshoot control systems issues including hardware, software, and integration challenges.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance and design engineers to develop process improvements and train staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISA S88, S95, NEC, NFPA).

Key Responsibilities
Design and Implementation:
  • Develop and deploy advanced process control systems, including designing strategies, selecting cutting-edge sensors and actuators, and programming efficient control algorithms.
  • Establish seamless communication networks between equipment, control systems, and operators.
Optimization and Troubleshooting:
  • Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and minimize downtime while maintaining top-tier product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems, from hardware failures to software bugs.
Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and design engineers, to develop innovative process improvements.
  • Provide hands-on training to operators and technicians, ensuring safe and effective system use.
Innovation and Compliance:
  • Stay ahead of industry advancements and integrate emerging technologies into process control strategies.
  • Ensure all control systems comply with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISA S88, S95, NEC, and NFPA.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in process control engineering, focusing on design, implementation, and maintenance.
Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of control theory, including PID and advanced control techniques.
  • Proficiency with process instrumentation such as sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
  • Programming expertise in languages like MATLAB, Python, or C++.
  • Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
Core Competencies:
