Job summary

Pro Staff in Leola, PA is seeking a Process Engineer to join our direct-hire manufacturing team. You will drive continuous improvement, reduce downtime, and optimize production performance in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 3+ years of process/manufacturing/CI experience.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
  • Experience with PLC/automation a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, waste, and production variability.
  • Analyze manufacturing data: line performance, material usage, cycle times, quality metrics.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process docs, and training materials.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, DOE, FMEA and other CI methods.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, automation, and new tech.
  • Optimize production processes, material flow, and work cell layouts.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership to resolve challenges.
  • Promote safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

Are you a results-driven Process Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, manufacturing optimization, and problem-solving? Join an industry-leading manufacturing team where you'll play a key role in improving production performance, reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, scrap, waste, and production variability
  • Analyze manufacturing data, including line performance, material usage, cycle times, and quality metrics
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and employee training materials
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, DOE, FMEA, and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and new technology implementation
  • Optimize production processes, material flow, and work cell layouts to improve efficiency and product quality
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Promote a strong safety culture and support regulatory compliance and workplace safety programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Experience with PLC programming, automation systems, sensors, or mistake-proofing technologies is a plus
