The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing operations in a hybrid onsite role, temp to hire.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production challenges, develop and implement process improvements, and boost yield, throughput, and safety while upholding quality standards.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics and at least three years of manufacturing experience; Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.

  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Experience analyzing processes and implementing improvements.
  • Data-driven problem-solving and root cause analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct technical support for manufacturing processes and production operations.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Develop, validate, and launch new products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Design, specify, and improve tooling, equipment, machine components, and process methods.
  • Plan and execute process trials, analyze results, and establish operating standards.
  • Improve manufacturing performance through yield, throughput, productivity, and capacity gains.
  • Support the introduction and qualification of new materials and technologies.
  • Create specifications for new equipment and support equipment layout, installation, and startup.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive CI.

$40 - $45 HR depending on experience.

About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will support and optimize manufacturing operations by improving process performance, product quality, safety, and efficiency. You will partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production challenges, develop and implement process improvements, introduce new materials and products, and support equipment design and commissioning. Your work will directly contribute to increased yield, throughput, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct technical support for manufacturing processes and production operations.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement sustainable corrective actions through root cause analysis.
  • Develop, validate, and launch new products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Design, specify, and improve tooling, equipment, machine components, and process methods.
  • Plan and execute process trials, analyze results, and establish operating standards and guidelines.
  • Improve manufacturing performance through increased yield, throughput, productivity, flexibility, and capacity.
  • Support the introduction and qualification of new materials and technologies.
  • Create specifications for new equipment and support equipment layout, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Share technical expertise and best practices with global manufacturing partners and sister facilities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace, Civil, Materials Engineering, or related discipline) or Physics.
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, or related technical environment.
  • Experience analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements.
  • Experience using data-driven problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with plastics extrusion processes.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable improvements in areas such as:
    • Scrap reduction
    • Throughput improvement
    • Process stabilization
    • Capacity expansion
    • Cost reduction
    • Project management
    • Continuous improvement initiatives
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to improve process yields, throughput, productivity, flexibility, and capacity.
  • Experience designing, specifying, testing, and commissioning manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes.
  • Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
