Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize interconnected components of a manufacturing system. You will develop and apply engineering standards, coordinate plant location, personnel workflow and ergonomics, materials logistics, process sequence and equipment layouts.

(#LI-ES2) The role involves collaborating with plant engineers, performing studies to drive facility modifications, and supporting manufacturing improvements while escalating complex issues as needed.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Process Engineer will focus on optimizing our interconnected components of a manufacturing system. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field. In this role, you will help coordinate plant location, personnel work flow and ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence and equipment layouts. (#LI-ES2)

Key Accountabilities

• Help manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design


• Help conduct cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revise operating methods.


• Follow prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems


• Contribute to designing and improving manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality


• Connect with relevant personnel from other departments within the site or across the business to benchmark practices and assist in the creation of strategies


• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
