Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor internal projects from initiation through completion. You will guide cross-functional teams and ensure projects stay within scope and budget.

In this role, you will develop strategies for agriculture, marketing, and manufacturing initiatives, monitor progress and budgets, and collaborate with regional leads to deliver results while adhering to EH&S standards and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience (typically 5+ years).
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Minimum of five years of experience in operations with challenging environmental health and safety aspects.
• Experience managing third party resources to deliver business results.
• Knowledge of the company's environmental health and safety standards and international standards and codes related to build projects and construction safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategies to develop assigned projects in areas such as agriculture, marketing or manufacturing.
• Monitor project progress, assess issues and recommend resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Review status of projects and budgets, coordinate schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Coordinate the operational aspects of assigned projects.
• Drive and support integration of, and adherence to, corporate and legal requirements in the design and construction of new facilities, processes, equipment, and utilities.
• Collaborate with regional domain leads for domain specific expertise support in build projects.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
