Process Engineer will follow all work instructions, equipment operating procedures, quality standards, and safety rules/guidelines while participating in a collaborative, team environment to achieve company goals.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and improve performance of Production Processes related to the Production Unit Up to 4 Production Processes Interpret, be taught, and quickly learn Reaction Chemistry. All Production Processes start with some sort of Reaction Chemistry.
- Identify production related issues and generate appropriate continuous improvements.
- Collect, interpret, analyze, and correlate data for troubleshooting with productivity issues, quality issues, equipment issues, etc.
- Define and implement the necessary improvements based findings.
- Conduct an Investigation Customer Complaints, Off-Spec Production, Equipment Failures, Production Process Upsets, etc.
- Manage Process Improvement Projects.
- Correlate Final Product Quality to Production Processing Data Track Production Yields and Perform Mass Balances.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control SPC and Statistical Quality Control SQC tools.
- Collaborate with various departments / stakeholders Quality, Production Operators/Supervisors, Management, Warehouse, Maintenance, Sales, etc Job
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Chemical Engineering 3+ Years Manufacturing Experience in an Engineering Role 3+ Years
- Experience of root cause problem solving Experience with MOC/CAPA process.
- Ability to conduct Investigations Customer Complaints, Off-Spec Production, Equipment Failures, Production Process Upsets, etc.
- Ability to be taught and quickly learn common Unit Operations used in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry. ISO9001 / EFfCI / GMP Production Experience Preferred
- Preferred Education and Experience Statistical Process Control SPC / Statistical Quality Control SQC Experience with chemical reactions, vacuum dryers, and powder handling/packaging operations.
- Working experience and/or knowledge of the following Reaction Chemistries: Batch Polymerizations / Oligomerization Reactions Bulk, Emulsion, Free-Radical, Nucleophilic Substitution . Esterification and Trans-Esterification Hydrolysis Reactions
- Working experience and/or knowledge of the following Unit Operations: Distillation Processes, Filtration Processes Cloth Filter Presses, Belt Filters, Rotary Dryers,
