Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for the Paint Manufacturing plant under supervision of Engineering Manager and Plant Superintendent.
• Troubleshoot processes/equipment and use SPC to improve batch quality and reduce costs.
• Coordinate/lead efficiency initiatives within the department and realize measurable benefits.
• Consult with vendors to specify equipment, materials, or parts and evaluate products against specs.
• Analyze space requirements and workflow; design equipment and workspace layouts for maximum efficiency.
• Move waste from generation point to the 90-day Storage Area and label containers per procedures.

Job description

Messina is seeking a Process Engineer for a direct, permanent hire opportunity in Cleveland, Ohio. The Process Engineer will be responsible for providing daily technical support for our client's Paint Manufacturing plant under the direction of the Engineering Manager and the specific Plant Superintendent of that department.

Responsibilities:

• Process/equipment troubleshooting (including process control systems), utilization of SPC to improve batch quality, and assistance with cost reduction and quality improvement programs.
• The expectation is that a successful applicant will develop skill sets and work on small-scale capital projects.
• The main responsibility for this individual will be coordinating/facilitating several efficiency initiatives within the department and following through on them to the point of realized benefits.
• Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Analyzes and plans space requirements and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Move waste from the generation point to the 90-day Storage Area. Properly close and label waste containers using our client's procedures

Pay range:

$70,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
