Job summary

BD in Connecticut seeks an engineering professional to sustain manufacturing processes and improve OEE. The role emphasizes knowledge transfer to operators, change control, and root-cause analysis. Bachelor’s in engineering and 2–3+ years in medical manufacturing are preferred.

You’ll collaborate on improving safety, process capability, and equipment effectiveness in a fast-paced healthcare environment. On-site presence is required most weeks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Proficient in communicating and applying problem-solving methods.
  • Experience in medical manufacturing and process improvement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and sustains BDPS work processes for the manufacturing unit.
  • Identifies critical equipment settings and creates standards.
  • Develops technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers it to operators.
  • Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analyzes top losses and drives OEE performance improvements.
  • Oversight of change control, validation, and quality events.
  • Other duties to support business needs.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Implements and sustains BDPS work process for the manufacturing unit.
  • Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards.
  • Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
  • Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.
  • Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
  • Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Deliverables:
  • Ensures safety of all associates and quality of product.
  • Ensures new manufacturing processes and process improvements meet Manufacturing Unit objectives.
  • Ensures equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Analyzes current state of equipment efficiency to drive OEE improvement and sustainability.
Minimum Education :
  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Minimum Experience:
  • Two years medical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Three years manufacturing experience preferred.
