Job summary

Rush & Company is seeking a Process Engineer for one of its US facilities in Northeast Georgia. The role focuses on systematic improvements, safety, quality, product development, and process/training initiatives, with minimal travel.

Entry level candidates or those with 1–2 years of manufacturing engineering experience are encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is available for the right person, with strong MS Office/ERP skills desired.

Qualifications

  • Entry level or up to 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Open on product/industry background – textiles, fabrics, films or related fields.
  • Technical background with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, or Product Development is a plus.
  • Strong MS Office Suite/Excel proficiency including ERP systems knowledge.
  • Ability to provide work-related references.

Responsibilities

  • Drive systematic improvements, safety, quality and product development.
  • Manage material and inventory planning and costing improvements.
  • Create and implement processes, procedures and training.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and project management.
  • Coordinate with customers on product trials and commercialization.

Job description

We are working with a well-established (approx. 100 years in business) global textile organization with close to $1B in annual sales. The various companies manufacture a variety of textile products including wovens, nonwovens, coating, laminating, technical textiles, films, fiber, chemicals, etc. for a wide array of industries - from industrials, to protective and outdoor apparel, civil/building materials, transportation, solar protection, HVAC, filtration, insulation, composite, paper industry, power generation, foundry/furnace/metal production, composites, agriculture, automotive, marine, and many more areas.

The company is looking for a Process Engineer for one of their US facilities in Northeast Georgia and is offering a competitive base salary and generous benefits including relocation assistance for the right person. Looking for entry level or 1-2 years’ experience.

The Process Engineer will report to the Plant Manager and be focused on systematic improvements, safety, quality, product development, material and inventory management, costing / improvements, process, and procedure creation/implementation/training, driving continuous improvement projects/project management, commercialization, product trials, working with customers, etc.,

This is an in office/plant role in Northeast Georgia with minimal travel potentially to corporate/sister company locations, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements
  • Entry level or up to 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Open on product/industry background - could be Textile, industrial products, fabric, nonwoven, fiber/yarn, films, laminates, coating, geosynthetics, building products/materials, insulation/thermal protection, technical textiles, packaging, wipers, hygiene products, reinforcement/composite products, civil/structural engineering products, filtration materials, automotive, protective products, consumer goods, furniture, plastics, etc.
  • Technical background with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Product Development, etc. experience is a plus.
  • Education: Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical), but open to other or relevant experience.
  • Strong MS Office Suite/Excel proficiency including ERP systems knowledge.
  • All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
