Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Process Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for the Process Maintenance team at Carlin, NV. This role supports safe operation and reliability across power distribution, controls, and instrumentation.

The technician will perform preventive maintenance, work with maintenance and operations teams, and potentially rotate nights and days to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of electrical and instrumentation experience (or two years of trade school/equivalent).
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot electrical/instrumentation circuits.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Experience with PLC controls, troubleshooting and programming; VFDs preferred.
• Capable of working with maintenance and operational teams.
• Good safety record and adherence to safety programs.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days.

Responsibilities

• Safety and effectively perform preventive maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of power distribution centers, switchgear, motors and controls, process controls and instrumentation
• Must be willing to work shifts, overtime, and callouts
• Perform other duties as assigned
