Job summary

Excelerate LLC is seeking a Consulting Manager to lead cross-functional client engagements from strategy through execution in the San Diego area. You will translate business challenges into actionable solutions, deliver measurable improvements, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders while shaping transformation programs.

The role requires 4+ years in management consulting, strong analytical, storytelling, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills, with on-site presence up to three days

Qualifications

• 4+ years of management consulting or equivalent experience in leading strategic or transformation initiatives.
• Proven success leading workstreams and delivering measurable business results in: Process Transformation & Operational Excellence; Technology Enablement & Digital Transformation; Organizational Change Enablement.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to transform data and insights into clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations for executives.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI and Tableau is a plus.
• Strong project management and workstream leadership experience, including Agile and Lean methodologies; proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced, client-facing environments.
• Flexibility to support client engagements on-site up to three days per week, typically within the San Diego region.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver large, complex initiatives from inception through completion, developing and executing project plans that ensure timely delivery and meet client expectations.
• Translate complex business challenges into actionable, data-driven strategies through analysis, process optimization, and stakeholder engagement, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cost management, and business performance.
• Facilitate workshops to uncover insights and co-create solutions.
• Lead transformation initiatives that align people, processes, and technology, delivering sustainable business outcomes through change management, organizational development, and workforce enablement.
• Develop executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that translate complex data, analyses, and business insights into clear narratives that drive stakeholder understanding, alignment, and action.
• Apply structured storytelling techniques to communicate business challenges, key insights, recommendations, and outcomes to senior executives.
• Lead digital discovery, vendor evaluation, RFP management, solution sourcing, and implementation oversight.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships based on trust, transparency, and consistent value delivery.
