Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is seeking a Scientist I to support the Process Development group in a fast-paced CDMO setting. The role involves extensive lab work, testing, and strategic client support for pharmaceutical development projects.

You will collaborate across QC, MTS, and Operations, lead nature of tasks, and help ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality and compliance with internal standards.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry with 0–5 years in pharmaceutical development.
• Interest in clinical-phase development and analytical characterization of drug products, including biologics.
• Experience with MS Office, LabX, Empower, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Support Process Development projects, serving as SME and collaborator for formulation and process design activities.
• Assist senior scientists in performing experiments to achieve project milestones.
• Represent Process Development on internal and client-facing project calls with updates and input.
• Support formulation design, sterile filtration, lyophilization, and post-processing for small molecules and biologics.
• Assist technology transfer activities and scale-up or manufacturing transitions.
• Perform in-process and finished product testing using HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis, Flowcam, Karl Fischer, DSC/FDM, etc.
