Job summary

Amgen seeks a Process Development Associate Scientist to advance cell culture and purification strategies for our late-stage pipeline. You will work in a collaborative team to develop mammalian culture processes, evaluate purification steps, and transfer successful methods to manufacturing, supporting regulatory submissions.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, data analysis, and strong communication within cross-functional groups. A relevant degree with PD experience is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab experience in cell culture or protein purification.

Responsibilities

• Develop cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins.
• Improve production yields and assess process robustness.
• Transfer processes to manufacturing and conduct related experiments.
• Work in team environment to contribute to drug substance process development.
• Perform mammalian cell culture experiments at shake flask and bioreactor scales.
• Perform purification experiments (filtration, chromatography) at bench and pilot scale.
• Document data in lab notebooks and present findings.
• Author technical reports and support regulatory filing.
• Contribute to technology development for reliability and efficiency.
