Job summary

Amgen in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Process Development Associate Scientist to develop cell culture and purification workflows for Amgen’s late‑stage pipeline. You will work in a team to improve yields, transfer processes to manufacturing, and generate data for regulatory filings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of Process Development experience, or Associate’s with 4 years, or HS with 6 years of Process Development experience.
  • Hands-on lab experience in cell culture or protein purification.
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking; able to analyze data.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments and statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins.
  • Improve production yields and evaluate process robustness.
  • Transfer processes to manufacturing and conduct relevant experiments.
  • Document data in lab notebooks and present findings to the team.
  • Author technical reports and support regulatory filings as needed.
  • Contribute to technology development for reliability and efficiency.
