Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Process Development Associate Scientist to develop cell culture and purification processes for its late-stage pipeline in Massachusetts. You will work in a team to improve production yields, transfer processes to manufacturing, and conduct experiments to evaluate process robustness.

Strong documentation and collaboration are essential. The role requires a Masters degree or equivalent, with alternative pathways listed in the basic qualifications; preference for hands-on lab

Qualifications

• Masters degree required or equivalent experience in Process Development as described.
• Multiple pathways to qualification including Bachelors with experience or GED with extensive experience.
• Process development experience in cell culture or purification is valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop cell culture and purification processes for recombinant proteins.
• Improve production yields via process characterization and robustness checks.
• Transfer processes to manufacturing and conduct related experiments.
• Document data in lab notebooks and present findings to the team.
• Author technical reports and support regulatory filings as needed.
• Contribute to technology development projects for reliability and efficiency.

Education

Masters degree

Bachelors degree and 2 years of Process Development experience

Associates degree and 4 years of Process Development experience

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Process Development experience
