Job summary

Travertine Technologies, Inc. seeks a Process Development Manager to lead RD&D projects in phosphate and sulfuric acid processes, translating experimental results into scalable, industrial-scale processes.

You will design experiments, manage pilot operations, and mentor engineers, delivering results within compressed timelines. The role requires hands-on lab work, strong data analysis, and proficiency with mass and energy balance modeling, with daily collaboration across the process development

Qualifications

• MS degree or more in engineering (chemical, materials, metallurgical) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of applied chemical process development/design experience.
• Project management experience under aggressive timelines with diverse teams.
• Demonstrated leadership and personnel development skills.
• Proven skills in chemical experiment design, data acquisition and validation, mass balance development, and translation of laboratory results to process design.
• Experience in hands-on laboratory work, including chemical and physical analytical techniques.
• Experience reading and writing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and developing mass and energy balance models (MEBs).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee RD&D projects with experimental plans and reviews of benchtop and pilot work.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians; train personnel in lab procedures and data analysis.
• Translate process engineering needs into work packages delivering tangible results.
• Support design and construction of laboratory and pilot test equipment.
• Translate benchtop/pilot data into inputs for heat and mass balance models with process simulation engineers.
• Review and improve PFDs and Equipment Lists.
• Troubleshoot performance issues in lab and pilot experiments.
