Job summary

Travertine is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead I&C systems for our lab and pilot facility in Boulder, CO, and for the NY demonstration plant as we move toward commercial production.

You will own control philosophy, select instrumentation, program PLCs and HMIs, and coordinate with Process Development and contractors to deliver robust industrial automation for phosphate and sulfuric acid production.

Qualifications

5+ years experience as an I&C engineer.
Undergraduate degree in engineering or related technical field.
Demonstrated ability to develop control narratives from process input.
Experience building complete industrial control systems with PLCs and software.

Responsibilities

Own I&C engineering for the Travertine Process.
Coordinate instrumentation requirements with Process Development and Engineering.
Develop control narratives based on process needs.
Specify sensors, transmitters, valves and analyzers.
Specify PLC, SCADA and OT networking hardware.
Establish OT/IT interface requirements for cyber-security.
Develop PLC programs, alarms, interlocks and HMIs.
Develop SCADA interfaces for datalogging and reporting.
Wire, install and troubleshoot industrial controls for pilot and demo plants.
Manage internal and external I&C workflows.
Diagnose field instrumentation issues and implement solutions.
Maintain I&C documentation.
