Job summary

The role emphasizes process improvement, lean initiatives, and compliance with government contracting standards, with CAD/CAM workflow experience and DoD exposure valued.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline; typically 5–7+ years.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems; aerospace/DoD exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and document detailed manufacturing methods for new and existing products.
• Design and select production tooling and fixturing.
• Initiate quality planning with sampling plans aligned to ISO 9001.
• Support estimating with process routings, cycle times, and cost drivers.
• Coordinate material planning to ensure on-time readiness.
• Oversee outside vendor processes to meet technical and schedule needs.
• Serve as Project Manager for assigned initiatives; plan, communicate, and deliver.
• Implement lean initiatives across the value stream.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements and solicitations.
• Coach and train engineers, machinists, and other team members.
