Job summary

The candidate will design or refine machining methods, select tooling, perform critical setups, and drive process improvements while training engineers and machinists.

Qualifications

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field; 5–7+ years experience.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and tooling technologies.
• Proficient with CAD/CAM systems; hands-on machining experience.
• Familiarity with sampling plans and quality systems (ISO 9001 & AS9100).
• Knowledge of Government contracting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed manufacturing methods and machining programs.
• Select tooling and supports fixturing needs.
• Perform critical setup operations and hand off processes to machinists.
• Implement process improvements and lean initiatives.
• Train engineers, machinists and others; share knowledge across manufacturing system.
• Support Quality Planning activities and process engineering.
• Ensure compliance with solicitation and contractual requirements.
• Perform other tasks to support business needs.
