Job summary

EaglePicher Technologies, headquartered in Joplin, Missouri, seeks a Process Development Engineer to bridge product design with manufacturable processes. You will facilitate cross-functional interaction to minimize design and process risks, focusing on DFM and DFA to simplify designs and reduce components.

You will lead DFMEA/PFMEA and create production flows to meet TAKT time, performing tolerance analyses and developing work instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; U.S. Persons.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with understanding of dimensioning and tolerance analysis.
• Experienced with automated assembly equipment and SolidWorks or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and Process Engs for DFM and DFA to simplify designs and reduce components.
• Lead DFMEA and PFMEA for new products to minimize risk.
• Create process flows for new products to meet TAKT time.
• Perform tolerance stack-ups to ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures for workstation coverage.
• Develop work instructions and process travelers for new designs.
• Support Quality in creating control plans addressing design/process risks.
• Coordinate with Program Manager on project milestones and deliverables.
• Assist in product build for Engineering Evaluations, DVT and Qualification.
• Leverage process resources for tool design and process development for bonding, welding, automation, etc.
