Job summary

RAPA LP in Auburn, AL is seeking a Process Development Engineer with strong background in manufacturing processes and automation maintenance. You will lead development of new processes and production lines, coordinating with European teams and machine builders to meet project timelines.

The role requires CAD/3D modeling proficiency (Creo preferred), and the ability to work across R&D and production while maintaining quality and efficiency. Some travel to Germany may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 4–8 years of experience in industrial, process and automation engineering.
• Strong CAD/3D modeling skills; Creo experience is a plus.
• Ability to hold a passport and travel within Germany.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Some knowledge of German language and customs is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab or similar software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical adeptness in manufacturing processes and maintenance of industrial automation systems.
• Coordinate with project teams to develop new processes/production lines and handover to production.
• Design and develop process/equipment drafts, coordinate with German counterparts and machine builders.
• Create and manage capital spending while meeting budgets and timelines.
• Perform process audits, gage R&R, and data analysis to ensure quality.
