Job summary

The Broad Institute is seeking a Process Development Associate I for the PRISM team in Cambridge, MA. The role focuses on routine cell culture operations, maintaining a large cell bank, and supporting high-throughput screening using PRISM technology.

Qualifications include a BS/BA in biology or related field and 1+ year of lab experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques. Excellent communication and meticulous documentation are essential in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year experience in a biological research environment; mammalian cell culture preferred.
• Experience with basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, DNA extraction).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong team player.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage cell culture for up to 30 cell lines to generate PRISM pools.
• Maintain cell bank of 1000 cell lines; barcode, freeze stocks, update inventories.
• Execute large-scale cell plating for production screens.
• Perform molecular biology protocols and quality control assays on cell lines.
• Maintain lab records and processing notes using electronic notebooks (eLabNext).
• Prepare and stock reagents, monitor inventories and equipment.
