Job summary

The Broad Institute is seeking a Process Development Associate I to join the PRISM team's high-throughput screening efforts within the Cancer Program. You will assist with cell plating, automate liquid handling and large-scale gDNA extractions to support production screens, while maintaining precise records in eLabNext.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in biology or related field, have 1+ year in a biological lab, and possess strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field required.
• 1+ year of biological lab experience; mammalian cell culture preferred.
• Experience with high-throughput screening is desirable but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Accurate lab documentation and SOP adherence.

Responsibilities

• Generate large-scale cell-based assay data to support high-throughput production screens.
• Assist with large-scale cell plating and treatments for production screens.
• Perform high-throughput gDNA extractions and library construction for NextGen sequencing.
• Maintain lab records and processing notes using eLabNext.
• Prepare stocks of reagents and manage chemical inventory and QC.
• Perform basic maintenance on automated lab equipment.
• Collaborate with automation team to draft SOPs for new methods.
• Assist in data QC and review using internal visualization tool.
• Contribute to team meetings and align with project goals.
