Job summary
TerraPower LLC in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a Process Design and Integration Engineer to support plant process design and integration of non-nuclear mechanical systems for the NATRIUM T demonstration plant. You will work with TerraPower’s EPC Design Integration Mechanical/Process Manager, model Rankine cycles, and help ensure cross-functional collaboration across design teams.
Strong background in process modeling and experience with power-plant systems are essential to drive successful
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant plant design experience.
- Experience with process modeling software (Gate Cycle, Thermoflow).
- Experience with steam and non-nuclear power plant systems.
- Ability to lead cross-functional design teams and communicate with senior management.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering oversight to non-nuclear Natrium plant systems focused on Rankine Cycle equipment.
- Coordinate with geographically diverse team to develop system design deliverables.
- Support development of conceptual design and respond to RFIs.
- Maintain and update the NATRIUM Rankine Cycle model.
- Assist integration with other process systems including sodium and salt heat transfer.
- Collaborate with Civil/Structural/Architectural, PRA, electrical, seismic teams.
